Club’s Mission/Purpose

The SACRAMENTO AREA WOODWORKERS a.k.a. SAW, est. 1982, is an organization formed for the purposes of sharing:

  • woodworking experiences
  • information
  • instructions
  • plans
  • books
  • tools
  • lumber sources
  • ideas in producing supplemental income
  • discounts resulting from volume buying

The Club has grown to a healthy 200 members of which you can meet approximately 80 at any given meeting. The beauty of having a membership of this size in our community is that the talents range from beginner up to master woodworker. If you’re thinking of a piece or planning a project, chances are good that others in the group have made or have been involved in the making of something similar and have a wealth of knowledge that can help.
